Company
ENERCALC INC. (Formerly ENERCALC Engineering Software) was formed in 1983 by Michael D. Brooks, a California registered Civil and Structural engineer.
The initial software offering was a simple set of fill-in-the-blank engineering calculation templates using the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet. Over the next 10 years the Structural Engineering Library grew into an extensive system providing calculation ability for common engineering design tasks.
Between 1994 and 1997 the software was rewritten to be independent of Lotus, then in 1996/1997 a complete rewrite was completed for 32-bit Windows operating systems. Between 2003 and 2007, the entire system was completely rewritten again to set a basis for the next decade of ENERCALC software offerings.
Additional substantial improvements followed over the next decade, such as the introduction of 3D sketches in 2018. We continue to push the software to do more, while doing it faster - while keeping it simple to use.
ENERCALC, INC is a closely held California Subchapter S Corporation.
